Not only can it be used as a emergency blanket to keep me warm, but the holes in the corner of the blanket is perfect for an emergency lean to shelter, the olive drab side help camouflage it and the silver side is perfect for reflecting the heat from a camp fire right on to yourself for those emergency survival situations, its so handy and is a definite buy for my camping needs and a second one to drop right in my go bag.

I am very impressed with this thermal space blanket. I am a combat Medic in the Army and find that this blanket is far, far, far superior to those cheap, disposable, crinkley space blankets. This Space Blanket is not only reusable, but it serves as a great barrier against the wind. It is easy to fold and mold around both a concious and an unconcious patient. It is also stealthy in that it makes less noise than the cheap space blankets that give off that distinctive crinkley tinfoil sound. Also you can secure it around a litter patient using 550 cord and the loops in the corners of the blanket.

heat in seconds

When I received this product I was excited and decided to go out and try it. within the first couple of seconds I started to feel my own body heat and it kept me warm... a little too warm, so I recommend this for chilly days and winter nights out. The only thing I didn't like was that it needed to be broken into and seemed very stiff, but thats nothing I can't fix :)

I bought this item not knowing much about it or how well it would work. One of those oh what the heck sort of things. I keep my house pretty cold (I like the cold), so I tested the blanket as soon as it got to my door. To my surprise, I started cooking as soon as i wrapped myself up in it. Can't wait to test it in the field!!! Thanks!!
