not suitable for tough working conditions
I am on my second pair or these, the first pair fell apart in 7 months. I thought it was a defect so I bought another pair, that lasted 6 months before the soles came unglued and fell apart. They are extremely comfortable and waterproof when new but for $169 I expected to get at least a year or 2 out of them. Overall I would say that they are a good sneaker replacement but they don't hold up to any type of mud/grease/oil/snow conditions. If they cost $39.99 I wouldn't have any complaints.
Very sturdy and durable with amazing traction. Very comfortable, though quite heavy. The main problem I have with them, is I am quite frequently having to pull the zipper back up. They are a great boot, but I don't think the price matches the performance. Who want's their boot to fall off or come loose when they are in a dire situation?
Best boots I've ever ridden with
My current pair has 20,000 plus miles of riding in all kinds of weather. Not once has my feet gotten wet or cold. I've ridden in western desert heat and north east winter. They are very light weight, reducing fatigue. They feel like a pair of sneakers. Easy on/off with the side zip. I highly recommend these boots for severe service.
