For all the M7 bayonet haters – there is no useless piece of 6 ¾ “ sharp C440 blade, and this statement goes for this item as well. Anybody with imagination, who faced any blade in his life knows that. For utility knife lovers – there is always some kind of tradeoff with these all-can-do knifes, and there is no 100 percent, all-purpose knife that I know about, my dear friends. In my opinion anybody with basic knife training can utilize M7 to the very best of its capabilities, all it takes is skill and little thinking. To make long story short – good, big piece of sharp steel for 40 bucks. Regards, Paul

I collect various knives for the great outdoors. The M7 has one of the most sharpest edges I have ever used. It sharpens fast, holds a razors edge (you can actually shave with it), and I wrapped the case with paracord for emergencies. Great Tool!

If this design was flawed it would not have been used for so many years

Classic look.

I just bought a dpms panther classic ar-15. I was going for that unmisstakable M-16 look and the M-7 bayonet was just what I needed. I doubt that I will ever use it for more than decoration. So functionality is not really an issue. But if push comes to shove, it seems sturdy enough to do the job, let alone scare the fight out of an attacker. The blade and handle are good quality, but the scabbard seems kind of cheap.

Not Needed

Unless you are replacing one of Uncle Sam's you broke, there is no need for this. You're never going to use it as a bayonet so you might as well get yourself a good all-purpose knife that you can really use.

M7 Bayonet

Basic bayonet fits any 5.56mm rifle fitted with m16 bayonet lugs. These break quite easily when bayonet fighting- an m9 bayonet is a better option.
