Not Very Durable
The gloves are probably one of the most form fitting aviator gloves you can find. Very light and great dexterity when you wear them. But, the seams where nomex meets leather along certain areas are only single stitched. After 4 months, the stitching between thumb and trigger finger is coming undone. Not very durable at all for infantry work, despite it's marketed to grunts.
These gloves are very poorly made...they started falling apart after one trip to the range. I would highly recommend looking at other options.
These gloves are awesome. I bought this pair to wear while I'm riding my new 2007 Softail. I operate the hand controls with no problem. They also prvent burns when I accidentaly touch any hot parts.
Much better flight gloves
First, when receiving the gloves, I thought that I got the wrong size. They looked too small for being 'Large'. They felt a bit tight too, at first, but after a while I realized that the snug fit was perfect. Common flight gloves simply aren't that elastic and they fit loose in comparision. In my opinion, the Aviator gloves by Black Hawk are 'much better flight gloves'. Much more expensive too, unfortunately, but worth it. And they seem to last longer too.
The OD color is a bit darker than the usual sage of flight gloves, but it's still not that good camo for woodland. Worse yet, the grey leather stands out in woodland just as with common flight gloves, especially in dusk. Hence -0.5 stars.
