Pay 400 for this?

Fantastic set-up- warmest sleep system on Earth in my opinion. But, 400 + dollars for it? I don't think so! I bought my US Military Genuine ECWS Sleep System on E-Bay for 100.00, delivered. If you have money to burn buy one here but they can be had, same quality, cheaper elsewhere. Merry Christmas!

Very Comfortable

I used this sleep system for over a year in Iraq, mainly the green patrol bag. Very comfortable, very warm, the system is pretty bulky even after it is in the compression sack.

Great Bag
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Best bag I have ever owned. Great versatilitty. Would give it a 5 but price too high and bag with all components too heavy (approx. 16 pounds). Loved mine from the Corps so much, bought one before I left. Aside from down side, would never give it up. (FYI... about $240 at cash sales).

best bag on the market

The coldest it's been outside when I've slept in this bag is -71. I'm stationed in Alaska. I took the poncho liner into the bag with me and I was great through the night. This is the most versitle bag on the market. You can just take the bivy cover if the temperature is going to be mild, but want some protection from the elements, or you can take all 3 layers if mother nature is out to try and kick your ass. Great sleep system

i purchased one of the sleep systems when i first got it i tryed it out it was a little tight one of my buddys bought it off me and i ordered another 97x37 all i have to say is wow i'm a big boy and i can stretch out no problem we resently went out to the the rock front every thing going good. well the weather changed started getting cold and a lil wet got in my bag as soon as i got in it started dumping for at least five or six hours well when i woke up i had a inch of ice on my bag but the bag kept me dry and warm i give it a five but if you do long hikes it is a little heavy 15 lbs. but well worth the investment big jon

best sleeping bag ever

Last year I conducted training with the John F Kennedy Special Warfare center. Some of my soldiers had the old fart sack sleeping bags when it started to rain. We quickly snapped our ponchos together and made a tarp. One of my soldiers never got issued a poncho so that left him in the rain. Because i was issued a Modular sleep system i let him sleep under my poncho. I slept on the edge of the poncho tent. The rain actually poured off his poncho like a stream right onto my sleeping bag. I have never slept so well, when i woke up the next morning our sergeant was suprised that i was not wet despite that stream pouring right on me. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and feeling a stream roll off my sleeping bag. I would go anywhere, do anything with this sleeping bag. Its the best and i would depend my life on it.

Really comfortable in soggy, cold weather.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
I've had any number of sleeping bags over the years I've been hunting (almost 40) and this sleep system not only makes the most sense in terms of versitility but it really functions well in the kind of day after day cold soggy weather N.Michigan is famous for. We all know goose down is a bust in these conditions, but so are some of the other synthetics used to fill sleeping bags, even expensive ones from stores like REI. I hunt every year on an island in Lake Michigan which is a wilderness area where open fires are not permitted. A slow drying bag in this setting is NOT funny. No problema with this set-up. Like wool, it will keep you warm even if it is damp, and both bags air dry quickly. Had it not been for the rather cramped shoulder area, I would have given it 5 stars.

awesome sleeping system

This sleeping system is the best that I have used. This is Marine Corps issued. We used this sleeping system in cold rainy weather with temperatures as low as 17 degrees in Camp Pendleton, CA. Use it in conjunction with the sleeping pad and you will never be cold again.
