quite a few guys from my unit used these in our afghanistan deployment and loved them, myself included. for the rough terrain they certainly beat out the altama exospeed2 that I brought along. Some other guys had trouble with stitching along the heel coming undone and with the eyes popping out but even with all that they were very comfortable, let your feet breath and worked wonders when going over large rocks and other rough terrain

Second Pair now
Rating: 4.0 Stars
It's been about 2 years since I bought my first pair of these. Right out of the box they fit great, and there was no sore break in period. About 4 month after the first purchase I went to Airborne School where they held up great - only issue: the bottom eyelet on one boot came off. I figured out that the grommet wasn't set right. I removed the rest of the bottom eyelets and laced through the holes and it worked just fine. After another 10 month of everyday wear (rucking, jumping, office work, ranges) the stitching in some areas was being worn through. I bought another pair to wear in the office and in formation, and noticed that the stitching was different on the new pair. They're now less likely to be worn out. I still use the old pair for jumping rucking and going to the range. The grip on the toe and heel is great for walking on sandy/gravely terrain, and adds durability to the leather in those areas. Waterproof up to the Nylon pannel, and you can dip your foot up to the second eyelet and not get wet. Good ankle support for airborne ops.

Great Boots
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Great boots! 100 percent better than the issue boots. Very light and the tread is awesome in all types of terrain. Definitely not speedlace boots but the laces they give aren't bad and won't break if you take your time. Small break in period. Only problem was a few hotspots but those are now gone too. The boots are well worth the money and look pretty high speed.

Not bad.

From the first time I opened the box I knew these would be a whole lot better then what we get issued in the US Army. As soon as I tried them on, I was impressed by the comfort of these boots. Until I started to lace them. Like that guy mentioned they are not speed lace and once tightened, they tend to be digging into the top of the arc on my foot. Despite all this my one true qualm that that these boots are not made in the USA as it properly should. Over all great outdoors boot, poor laces, and not made where it should but I still like them.

Only flaw- wish they came in black!

I've worn these boots every day for about a week and a half now. They're honestly the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. The grip is amazing. I like to explore around the area I live where there is a lot of rocks and caves- I haven't slipped once. Jumping, there is a lot of shock absorbancy- where my feet would sting when I jumped in my old shoes, I hardly feel like I put my foot down. I also work in an enviroment where I have to stand for long hours at a time on concrete floors and lift/carry heavy items which is very bad for your back. Wearing these boots, my back no longer hurts- and my feet no longer hurt! I strongly suggest these boots! They'd also be great for Parkour/Free-running [I have friends that do that] because of the grip they give on the toes and sides of the boot. They are very lightweight and excellent for hiking and climbing. Two things I wish they would do is sell them in black and I would LOVE to buy a pair of these for my dad. He wears a size sixteen boot, though, and they don't come in that size. Pity. We'll see how long they last. I'll write a second review when I finally wear them out. I get the feeling these will last a while though. They are absolutely awesome boots!

CADET

Many nice features: tread, toe, heel. But they dont seem to flex right, especially at the ankle. Walking, rucking, running up hills, these boots work against you, you have to fight to raise your toe. The eyelets are meant to lock in the lace, so they are good for that, but getting these boots tight is a hassle. they are not speed laces, thats how that guy broke the eyelets. I sent these back after 2 days of wear.

Comfortable but Flimsy

Very comfortable boot right out of the box, but it couldn't last even after only 3 weeks of wear and tear because of one major flaw. The top four eyelets are poorly designed and popped out when I went to tighten my laces! Without this flaw these would have made incredible boots.
