Best backpack I've owned.
Rating: 5.0 Stars
I started biking to work and needed a new backpack. I had my eye on the 5.11 packs for camping/hiking and gave this one a shot. I liked it right away but wanted to use it for a few months before leaving a review. I've been continually impressed by how well-constructed this pack is. I use the MOLLE system every day for a flashlight, multitool, water bottle, and a slim first aid kit. I keep finding new uses for for it, I'm really loving the modular capabilities.

Best daypack I have used... Period.

After eight years in the Marines, I know what a good pack feels like, and behaves like, and the Rush 12 is a great pack. this is my new got to bag. Right now, I use it for school, carrying around my text books, notebooks, and other associated school type stuff to include lunch. It also works great as a manly diaper bag and hiking pack. Now, enough of the civilian college kid stuff. I wish i had had this bag when I was still in the Marines. this bag is much better than the issue ILBE day pack, and better than the Blackhawk patrol pack I had when I was in (and to be fair, I love that bag too- just not as much as the Rush 12). this bag could easily carry everything any soldier or Marine would need on a day long patrol comfortably. I could see putting a radio in this bag, with chow, extra ammo, warming layers, demo, hydration bladder, basic survival kit- you name it. It even has some attachment points at the bottom that can take straps so you could attach a ranger roll to the bottom, along with a Goretex top and bottoms (for all you guys scared of getting a little wet). The MOLLE straps are only three wide on the sides- making it hard to attach a SAW pouch to the outside, but they would work great for MOLLE canteen pouches. I got the sandstone color, and it is very close to coyote- close enough that the coyote pouches I have attached to it have not stood out. Another nice feature of this pack is that it is comfortable to run with (I first tested t on a two mile run out in the country, and have since ran with it at the local state park- never a problem of any kind). I paid over $250 for my Blackhawk bag, and it was really good to me- this bag is better in my opinion- and cheaper. It is worth the money if you are looking for a good daypack, book bag, get home bag, assault pack, or just a good travel bag. Look no further- this bag is it.
