Awesome knife. Stays shape for long time. Made in USA.. have used it to cut rope, seatbelts, break a window, stab an animal to death (was attacking me) Got my knife for under 100 brand new from gerber.

This knife is just perfect for anyone who needs it. I am a National Guard soldier and a lot of my training deals with putting up tents. Anytime we needed zip ties to be cut I was called upon. Any MRE's that needed open, everyone would ask for my knife. Even when we had no utensils to eat with, it came in real handy. The one and only down side was everyone not knowing how to use it. The automatic blade is really helpful in the field but some people just couldn't understand how it worked.

I have had an abundance of knives in my time in or out of professional careers, being an avid hunter or when I was coming up with my Father as my biggest Mentor. My review of this Knife is at the or better than the top of the line. With that said, I give Gerber a heckuva thumbs up. Thanks UCCAV and Gerber.....PW

The Gerber 06 auto knife is the best folder I have ever used. Its rugged construction is just what any military man would want. I trust this knife with my life. Gerber hit it out of the park. USAF SF

A fantastic all-purpose service knife that can be used effectively in cold weather where your hands may be stiff or gloved. Great for those one-handed tasks encountered by mountain climbers, electricians, fisherman, mechanics, or anyone who finds themselves one hand short of needing two hands to open a conventional knife. If you have a little stiffness in your hands, this is the knife for you. It's razor sharp, it's got some weight to it, it's easy to hold on to. In an emergency, you can break out a car window and cut seat belts lickity split. I like this knife so much that I have bought a couple for myself and have given several as gifts.
