I have used this light on a daily basis for the past two years. It was initially mounted to my department issued Glock 22 .40 cal pistol, and with our department changing over to the Smith & Wesson M&P40 it is now attached to the M&P. The light is very versatile and adaptive to your needs and your personal preferences. You have the choice of choosing either a standard white light beam which has the ability to reach out in the an illuminate your target, just the red-dot of the laser,or the combination of the red laser dot in the center of a beam of white light. To select the mode you want you simply flip a small toggle-switch on the back of the light directly in front of,and protected by,the front side of the trigger guard. Activation of the on/off switch for the light can be done with index or thumb of either hand (depending on your personal preference). The laser needs to be dialed in and zeroed by use of a supplied allen-wrench by adjusting elevation and windage screws on the side of the light.Once set,you can remove and re-install the light as you wish and it will return to zero each time. The laser must be zeroed to the precise distance that you are likely to engage your target. I have mine set for about 21 ft/7 yards (the distance of most law enforcement shootings).Keep in mind that once zeroed-in for your preferred distance, the dot will move above or below the zeroed-point of aim above or below the horizon of the front sight as you increase or decrease your distance to your target, windage remains constant. The only limitations is holster availability if you want to carry it on you firearm at all times.

Tactical Light

Bought this item at a gun show at a very good price and was impressed with the features on it. Definitely a good light to have on your pistol in a dark place. The laser portion is not very accurate but gives you a general area of your target. I do recommend it for a tactical situations though. I'm satisfied with my investment and it goes with me everywhere I carry my pistol
